We are using
MyGiftList
to track our wedding registry. We have two suggestions:
- Comparison Shop! Most items on the list have a link to only
one source for the item. Feel free to buy the item somewhere
else! For example I used a Macy's link for all of the Mikasa
china. When we picked the pattern, Macy's had the Mikasa pattern
on sale. As I write this, their prices are almost twice what they
were when we picked the pattern. However, a simple search at http://froogle.google.com/ with
the string Mikasa "Italian
Countryside" quickly located much better prices. For
example Linens-n-Things
prices are currently running about 20% less than Macy's for most items
in our Mikasa pattern.
- Click off the item(s) you think you will get BEFORE you go
shopping. If you do not end up getting an item you can put it
back on the list. Otherwise you may buy the item and come home to
find that someone else has already purchased the same item.
We will probably be adding additional items as time goes on.
