Wedding Color Scheme:

The wedding color scheme is blue, yellow, and ivory.  The bridesmaid dresses are blue.  The groomsmen will be wearing gray vests and trousers with ivory shirts and  black morning coats.

Balsams Attire:

The Balsams has traditionally had a dress code, though their new website simply says men are required to wear jackets for evening dining.  Karen Ahrens of The Balsams summarized the policy as:   I would hate to have your guests getting the wrong idea of our dress code. Jackets are required in the Main Dining Room and in all public areas after 6 p.m.

For the wedding itself, a jacket is suggested for gentlemen, but is not required until 6 p.m.

Weather is what you get, climate is what you expect. On average eight days in July receive a tenth of an inch or more of rain at the Balsams.  The mean daily maximum temperature in July is 77.3 degrees, the daily minimum is 54.4 degrees.  The record high for July is 93 degrees, the record low is 36.  As the Balsams has very minimal air-conditioning, pray for sunny but slightly cool weather!
